What is this?

Golf scoring for the internet

Texas Scramble team scoring for as many as 160 players

  • Team Leaderboard displays team position, Texas Scramble team scores, number of holes completed, Team name and Team members

  • Scrolling Proximities displays winners of closest-to-the-pin, longest drive and other subsidiary competitions

  • Team Details displays hole-by-hole scores for each team

What do you have to do?

1. Enter your Course Information

2. Create Tee times

  • Add Players
  • Enter scores
  • Set up your Reports
  • Designate Sponsors and Proximities

3. Review your Tournament

  • Publishing on the Internet

1.
Entering your Course Information

 
On the Main screen
  • click the Courses tab
  • click the Add New Course button
  • in the pop-up window, fill in the Course name, Tee(s), Index slope
  • click OK
 
On the Courses screen
  • click on a tee name in the Tee list and fill in the Yardage, par & handicap for each hole on the tee, as well as Rating & slope for the course
  • when all course information has been entered correctly, Valid will appear

Creating Tee times

 
On the Main Screen
  • click the Tournaments tab
  • click the New Tournament button
  • in the pop-up window, enter the Tournament Name & description
  • choose Shotgun for TeeOff Style if applicable
  • choose Regular for Scoring Style
  • set the Date & Start time
  • select the Course & tee
  • set the Maximum groups/hole or last game time
  • click OK

Adding Players

 
On the Tournaments screen
  • highlight the first game in the Game list by clicking on it
  • click New players on tee button
  • in the pop-up window, enter the Team Captain's First name
  • in the Last name box, enter the Team Captain's last name, followed by the starting hole # and the other player names in the group ( EXAMPLE - First Name - Joe, Last Name - Smith 1B - Bill Jones, Sarah Rivers, Frank Evans)
  • click the Add to new players button
  • click OK
  • Note - in case of error, select the Players tab, double-click on the player's name, and make the correction
  • highlight the next game and repeat the process
  • expand the tee time to check players on the tee

Entering Scores

 
On the Tournaments screen
  • highlight a tee time by clicking on it
  • click the Edit details of Selected Game button
  • click the first game in the Game List and enter Scores
  • click the next game, enter Scores and continue

Report Setup

 
On the Reports screen
  • with the Tournaments tab selected, click the Reports and Setup tab
  • in the Report parameters column, check Individual (Gross)
  • check Proximity

Sponsors and Proximities

 
On the Tournaments screen
  • click on the Sponsors and Proximity Prizes tab at the bottom
  • use the drop-down to indicate proximity hole #
  • click the Enter or Alter Hole Information button
  • in the pop-up window,fill in the Hole sponsor name and add a graphic if applicable
  • in the PP Display area, type a title as it will appear on the leaderboard (eg- "Closest to the pin")
  • double-click on a name in the Player list to enter the winner, or enter it manually
  • click OK
  • choose the next proximity hole and continue

Reviewing your Tournament

 
On the Tournaments screen
  • click on the Reports tab on the right side of your screen
  • click on either Details or Leaders button

Details

 
On the Details screen
  • Gross Team Scores are shown for each hole

Leaders

 
On the Leaders screen
  • Leaderboard shows team Scoring info, position and Player details
  • Tournament banner displays the tournament's information
  • Scoring info shows each Team's position, Team score and # of holes completed
  • Player details shows Captain's name, starting hole and Team members
  • Proximity Leaders, found below the leaderboard, displays the winners

Publishing on the Internet


 
On the Tournaments screen
  • select the Reports and Setup tab
  • click the Internet Reports to File button
  • you can review the reports from within the program, copy the files to an internet site or email these files
  • the HTML files are stored in an HTML folder under the ScoreKeeper directory and coded with your tournament number c:\ProgramFiles\ScoreKeeper\html\tour#
  • click on links to view various reports
  • to view your final Texas Scramble leaderboard, click on the link for tourreport.htm
