Research suggests that a naturally occurring virus called the Reovirus selectively infects, replicates in and kills certain types of cancerous cells while leaving normal cells alone. In addition, it is suspected the Reovirus infected cells prime the immune system to seek and destroy these types of abnormal cells for longer term cancer protection.
